4 degree timing key

ok a list off my mods: no air box,34mm carbs,pro design intake, v-force II reeds, port & polished, bored .60 over, shaved head,fmf fatty w/ power core 2 sliencers. ok now i just recently got the (port & polished,shaved head) and it seems to run the same if not slower. it sputter in mid end and not wide out as long. i was askin around and some people said it may be the timing key. what do you guys think i need to advance it. input would be appriciated,thanks

It probably isn't jetted correctly for your new mods. I would correct the jetting and then advance the timing.

how much is a timing plate , well im not getting the key till tuesday and we are gonna go to west virgina next sat so this will hold up maybe till i get back from wv

This will only happen if you don't tighten the flywheel correctly. The key isn't suppose to hold the flywheel in position. It's only there to idex it while putting it on. I've been running the same key for 3yrs.
