Ok I think I got the main down. It's at 400 right now and it pulls strong real strong. Now the needle is another story. I moved the needle down to the lowest setting and it doesn't pull strong at all. It just sorta pings and builds rpm sorta slow. The thing is though is that I did a plug chop though at half throttle and the plugs were dark and wet. I turned the air screws out two turns and it helped it some but it still isn't cured. Should I try moving the clip up? Turn the air screw out some more? It idles and starts easily if that helps any.

Sounds like you are running way too rich in the midrange. Move the clip up to the middle slot on the needle and do another plug run. If it starts easy and will idle leave the pilot and airscrew alone for now until you get the midrange dialed in.

I moved the clip all the way up in the leanest posistion and the motor reved out quicker when I had it wfo, but I did a plug chop at half throttle and the plugs were starting to turn a light gray. I have concluded that my main is probably too big and that the lean needle let the motor rev quicker at wfo by reducing the amount of gas entering the cylinder. So now I am going to try to bring the clip down a couple 2 slots to the stock posistion and go down a size or two on the mains.

You are on the right track in your thinking. But do it in steps. Start with putting the needle in the stock position and take it out and ride it. If it runs good in the midrange but misses out on the top THEN drop your main down.

I'm really pissed off now. I can get rid of the crappy power right before it gets on the pipe. It sucks. I don't really know what to do now. I am going to try to find a dyno in the houston area and jet it there. I've had the needle in every position and it still doesn't pull right.

I got it running right now. the tip of one of my needles was bent, but I had an extra laying around. I swear it's always something stupid like that.
