1998_Banshee_Racer Posted July 4, 2004 Report Posted July 4, 2004 Okay im sure you all know about the supposivly end of 2 strokes by 2006 (selling anyways).Im just wantin to see if everyone else has the same thoughts I have.1Okay since 2 strokes are ending anyone whos ever thought seriously about getting a banshee is prolly gonna get one.2Kinda like the 250r everyone will be heavily moddifing the banshee if they have one and by this if the owner cares anything at all about his shee they will run it a little rich which means more smoke ---RIGHT.3And last but not least why do this its sooo stupid all it means is that everyone will take care of their 2 stroke and keep it runnin longer which also means more smoke. Just tryin to get a point across.LOL we need to take all our banshees and stuff to the place thats shuttin us down and just rev them to the sky runnin em as rich as possible.LOL Quote

If you feel that way then buy a brand new shee... soak her down in grease and oil... Then put her up for about 40 years... Dont mean to sound cruel or anything but running our shees rich wont do a damn thing but create a bad name for our great bikes. Believe me dude... Banshees were made to be rode hard...run the hell out of them... Thats what they were made for. PERIOD.... The only way to preserve something is to keep them going. If you have the means to buy a new shee and put her on ice then you will have something in 20 or so years. Me, I plan to keep the shee's legacy alive by riding my baby and keeping her alive and running without a whole lot of smoke. Maybe in YOUR part of the world, I can't see them changing the design of scooters and mopeds in Asia or in Africa for a long time to come... 2-Stroke smoke isn't high on the list of priorites around these parts... Maybe in YOUR part of the world, I can't see them changing the design of scooters and mopeds in Asia or in Africa for a long time to come... 2-Stroke smoke isn't high on the list of priorites around these parts... what sucks is that it is here in cali, did it seem like bad air when you were in the lbc jj ? with all the refineries and crap poluting the air the best anyone can come up with is ban 2 strokes. it makes me sick to hear the end is near for it but what can you do ive had more then 2 hands worth of fingers of this machine and cant say im going to give it up anytime soon. so the e.p.a. can me for all i care and ill still be riding a shee Quote
