jadaven Posted July 4, 2004 Report Posted July 4, 2004 Ok i was looking on ebay and someone had a set of renthal bars that were filled with silicone. he claimed that it reduced vibration. Is there any truth in that....should i put down the caulking gun???? Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 no it works, silicon reduces the vibration, some people out west put sand in em, does the same thing Quote
jadaven Posted July 5, 2004 Author Report Posted July 5, 2004 Alright Ill be puttin some silicone in my renthals!!! Quote
Justintoxicated Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 does this work better than vibration dampeners? yo fill the whole thing with silicon ? Quote
Wallynut Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 If ya got twist instead of thumb throttle, be careful. I tried lead shot on my kaw 1500 classic bars to reduce the vibration, caused trouble with throttle. Will have to try the silicone, that may just do it once it sets up. Quote
