banshler Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 The threads on the choke side carb are stripped, is there any way of fixing this? And whats the best way to clean them? Quote
pimp559 Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Throw the carbs away and get new set. Sure you could mickey mouse it together to work and end up later on rebuilding the motor because you went the cheap route instead of buying the wright part. Carbs are far more cheaper than a rebuild. Trust me I've been through it. I've cleaned the threads up to work that still failed later.I've got a used set with good threads for $40 plus shipping. Or you might find someone that would sell you just one good carb. I would get rid of the tors while your at it. I have never seen any carbs threads ruined after getting rid of the tors. Quote
