SiCkBaNsHeE_990 Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 I just got some works shocks and i went to put them in and they fit where you bolt them up but they pushed up aginast the a-arm. anyone know what the problem is? Quote
ledofthezep Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Not sure exactly what you mean. Got any pics? More details would help...like where it's hitting it, etc... Quote
ness Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Do they rub on both right and left upper arms? If it rubs on just one I would bet the a-arm is bent. Quote
sredish Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Got any pics? Exactly, with some pics, we can probably identify where the problem lies. I have a feeling it is an a-arm though. Quote
NAXbansheeman11 Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 I had a problem like that and it had to do with a bent spindel Quote
SiCkBaNsHeE_990 Posted June 28, 2004 Author Report Posted June 28, 2004 i cant get it on the right side. something on that side must be broken because the right tire leans in toward the atv. It clears the left side by like a cm or less but i cant even get it the line up on the right side. Quote
SiCkBaNsHeE_990 Posted June 29, 2004 Author Report Posted June 29, 2004 (edited) here are some pictures.... Left Side Right Side (problem side) Left Side Right Side Right Side I hope this help i need it. Edited June 29, 2004 by SiCkBaNsHeE_990 Quote
SiCkBaNsHeE_990 Posted June 29, 2004 Author Report Posted June 29, 2004 well i guess the pictures arnt working so... could a bent a-arm end cause this? if the top of the spindle is bent can i bend it back? help! Quote
sredish Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 there's definitely something freaky going on with that right a-arm. see how the left is much more open, more of a v and the left is more of a u, almost like the rear upper mount is moved or something. i'd measure the space between the front and rear mount on both sides and compare.
