DirtRider Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 at the bottom of the stering stem just make sure when you turn the handle bars that the tires dont hit the a-arms. on the stering stem it should hit a metal peice that limits how far you can turn the handlebars. what year is it how much was it? details details... BenBB Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 BdBanshee is right on, I've reinforced mine, it's a small tab at the very bottom of the steering stem, just to the front, about 1-1/4" wide. You just want to add some material so it's not quite so easy to bend forward when the "tits" on the steering stem slams it. I'd also take off the tabs you don't need, like the little bumpers for the stock pipes (just rear of the lower a-arm), the two for the stock heelgaurds if you don't run them, the two for the front fender bracket if you have no front fenders, and get a cheater bar to straighten that right grab bar mount... $K2 Posted June 25, 2004 Author Report Posted June 25, 2004 I appreciate the replys fellas.. Model year 2000. I picked her up in 2001 for $5K and ran excellent! I have since been to Mexico a few times and the saltwater didnt like her very much so she got a little rusty... Most of it was my fault as I simply didnt care for her like I should have but that is all gonna change now when this little project is finished! Quote
