1998_Banshee_Racer Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Has anyone on here ever completely disassembled an engine and put it back together and had good luck.If so do you have time a banshee or any other things other than just putting it back together with all the correct materials. 1998_Banshee_Racer Posted June 21, 2004 Author Report Posted June 21, 2004 I meant do you have to time a banshee for it to run correctly? Quote
sredish Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 No, there is a plate behind the flywheel that is bolted in and is your timing. No way to move the plate or no way for it to get out of time this way. There is an aftermarket plate you can get, shown below, that allows you to adjust the timing by rotating the plate. If your asking that question, I doubt you have one, unless a previous put one on. The plate is the thing with the marks on it, I have it set to +4. Quote
