liftedandgifted Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 I have a 1989 banshee and when a had a stock stroke crankshaft with trinity stage four pipes, cool head with 171 lbs of compression, v force reeds, reeds spacers, 4 degree advance key, porting but port timing is not raised, toomey two into one air filter, quad always ran extremely well. I just put a vitos 4mm stroker crank with spacer in and went to 280 mains and left the 25 pilot in. It was way too rich and after a couple times of jetting I ended up back with 260 so it wouldn't foul out plugs. My problem is that if I am barely moving then punch the throttle it hesitate then picks up or I will have to feather the clutch, I played with the air screws and it helped the best at 1.5 turns out. also when I get on it hard it runs good at the begining of the gears but even before I am ready to shift it quits accelerating before it is fully revved out. I am pretty sure my problem is in my carbs but I need to know where to go with it. Also my needles are in the middle position also I switched domes so the compression is the same. Let me know if you have any ideas or solutions. Quote
