JoshWht Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 I had a question about my 88 Banshee. I had the top end rebuilt last year and the compression is still good, but one cylinder seems to be acting up. I can put my finger over the right pipe and it only builds pressure, but when I cover the left pipe it wants to stall the motor. The left side is pushing more smoke and the right side seems to be backfiring. I am wondering if the reed valves could have anything to do with this as they are about the only thing I haven't touched ever. Let me know if anyone has any input. Thanks, - Josh Quote

JoshWht Posted May 31, 2004 Author Report Posted May 31, 2004 I put new plugs in, and both look the same, neither one looks too be burning differently. I pulled out the reeds and they don't look like they are closing as tightly as they should be. I am going to change them and see if that helps. Quote
