itsjustagreat1 Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Ok, I recently had my motor built and gone through, and now when I go down the strip, when shifting from 4 to 5 it stays in 4 untill I let off the gas and coast for about 5 to 10 yards then it goes to 5. It also does the same from 5 to 6. and every now and then it sticks between 4 and 5. I t acts like the drum isn't turning all the way. My clutch and shift shaft are ok. what could be the problem? BenBB Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Could be a bent/worn shift fork, or possibly even a worn engagement dog/shaft. Did everything look OK in the tranny or did you have the cases split? How about the shift star? Quote
itsjustagreat1 Posted May 19, 2004 Author Report Posted May 19, 2004 (edited) Everything looked ok, the case was split the shift star was new with the shift star mod, the shift drum was machined to make it shift easylier. the shift shaft looks fine....I just don't know whats wrong. also the shift forks were replaced with new stronger ones Edited May 19, 2004 by itsjustagreat1 Quote
