87blueshee Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 I just bought a new harness and coil. And i put them on and now i dont have spark. I got new plugs and caps also. My old harness has the TORS system removed. and the key is jumped also so i dont need a key. And the new harness has a different light plugs. Do i need the light plugged in for everything to work? I dont wanna hack up the new harness so i was just wondering do i need everythign hooked up for it to complete the circuit? or am i doing something wrong? And when i put the old harness on with the new coil and caps and plugs it works fine. Quote
bansha60 Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 if you still have the tor system, then you have to have the wiring that is in the clutch perch for it to work. If you unplug the small box in the front of the quad next to the coil, it should have spark, and if its pluged in it wont have spark, this is the problem. There is also a resistor in the stock throttle box, sometimes it sticks. Say you have spark, when you hit the throttle it does nothing but dies out. The resistor is junk, get a new one, or get a TOR eliminator kit, and a parking brake block off. This will solve the problem. Quote
