I love it there.

I think those dunes are pretty damn big, especially Choke Cherry. There are a couple dunes that "saddle back" one another that must go up 400 feet or so.

They also have rolling dunes, and some pretty good jumping dunes. Over all its a really nice place to go.

big dunes, big fun. watch out for those witches eye's thouigh.

choke cherry is really steap, my blaster with the origanal engine and me(100lbs)

suprisingly made it in third gear all the way, if I put it in 2nd gear the rear tires would just dig in.

Came across some figures on dune heights but have no idea if data is correct or not.

Glamis 400+ ft. high

Oregon 500+ ft.

St. Anthony 600+ ft.

I have only been to Oregon dunes and some there are really monsters. For info only since no OHV use allowed are following;

Eureka Dunes Death Valley Calif. 700+ ft.

Great Colorado Sand Dunes 800+ ft.

I would sure like to hear back from anyone with better info who may have factual data on dune heights. I got tired of searching. The Eureka Dunes sure don't look as high as the Oregon Dunes when looking from the highway. Maybe they are just too far away.

Are the Eureka Dunes and Dumont Dunes the same?

Not the same. Eureka Dunes are in the bottom of Death Valley and off limits. Dumont Dunes are between Barstow and Las Vegas and about 30 miles north of Baker. And by the way I got more info on dune heights. Looks like Dumont Dunes are taller than Glamis Dunes. One source said Competition Hill at Dumont is 480 feet. I really need to go ride these places and then I might know a little more about what I'm talking about. My intentions are good even though my knowledge isn't.
