Paddle Tires

I have got a mostly stock banshee w/ sand skate 2's on the back.What kind of front tires do i need to get for just riding not draging or stuff like that.

I like my mohawks. My brother prefers the Razor back, but I don't care for the ballon tire look. Both turn great in the sand. Guess it's just a matter of personal preference.

 

I've got a buddy that swears there's no difference than just running knobbies on the front. Tried to explain to him that's why he's always drifting off the face of the dunes

Sand stars are nice too. They're dual ribbed for her pleasure.

I have the Skat Mohawks. I like them more than I liked the stock knobbies. They seem to cut well into the sand when I turn.

Sand stars here and you can tell the differance between knobbies and sand stars atleast i was sceptical too but they do help

I doubt that at low speeds up to about the top of 2nd gear it makes a lot of difference but my sandstars feel really responsive when going fast. I tried looking at the sand behind my front tire when running a a pretty good clip last time (and not wrecking from not paying attension to the terrain ahead ) and I could definitly see that both fins were throwing a separate roost and carving.

 

The one thing I notice that was of significance was when turning the outside rib on the outside tire and the inside rib on the inside tire in the turn throw a lot more roost and must give a lot more bite so they sort of seem to move your leverage point further out on the outside tire and further in on the inside tire by a couple of inches.

 

I think nobbies make a lot more drag on the front tires in the sand.

Mohawks, they really help to turn and are light.
