wansomordis Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 I just installed my shift star and torqued the pressure plate down with no problems with the same ft pounds..I'd try another torque wrench.. Quote
ledofthezep Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 Been there, duned that. Except I was a jackass & didn't tighten down the adjustment doohickie on the torque wrench, so she ended up getting about close to 20lbs...moral of story, don't work on the shee while highly intoxicated. Quote
boonman Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 You need an in/lb torque wrench for that. Don't go taking your 1/2" drive, 20-250 ft/lb torque wrench and clicking it down and thinking it will work. it doesn't. Use the proper tools. I just use my mind for the clutch bolts. Feel it out. It's not too hard..... Quote
