One of my freinds has came across a 89 banshee good shape he says with two sets of plastic and a 500 cc two stoke motor 3 cylinder out of a street bike or somewhere he dosent even know.I am goin to go look at it. It dosent run but he thinks it could get by with just a hone and re ringin it. He is aking 500 bucks :cheers: which i thouht is cheap what do ya'll think. Also what kinda motor do u guys think it is. If it is a 1 gear tranny i bet it is a snowmobile rotax. But if it isnt what in the hell did it come off of????? :whoa:

its a kawi motor....I have one here, parts are decent to find. I think they call the motor a h3. Or as my pop calls it, a kid killers. thats what they called them when they were new. They had so much power but handled worth a shit

So how much power do you think the motor makes the guy told me about 75or 80 it has race pipes and then a stock motor.

How much do think pistons would cost me for that thing i think it would be fun for a drag project,espically on alcohol/methanol hehe.That way i could keep some wear off of my 96 shee.

They had Mark III's and IV's, most were the same except for ignition and charging systems. H2's were considered "Widow Makers" because they were fast and tended to go into speed wobbles at abaout 125 and wouldnt come out of it. They were totally plaugued with electrical problems and the crank recievers were weak and tended to go through cranks quite often...I rebuilt 100's of those cranks in the early eighty's when I worked in the Largest Kawasaki dealership in the world at the time. Although a relic now, they are worth a ton of money in original condition and I wish I had a few around just to cruise around on...Jim
