vmaxup Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 So Fox you keep asking the same questions . I told you from the beginning to remove the clutch cover and the front of the basket not the whole basket and I didnt tell you to split the cases untill after you check this Ball and rod. If your not going to listen call a shop and dont wast my time. Then you and SDD can get to drilling holes in your cases. Quote
vmaxup Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 If you want help post a phone number and I will go through it with you over the phone on SAT. Its not hard. I dont need SDD putting his nose in were it dose not belong. Ive had to do this before and its no big deal. Actually read the next topic someone else has the same problem. If you dont want my 2 cents then just let me know. Im out Quote
FoxBansheeRacing Posted April 2, 2004 Author Report Posted April 2, 2004 No, I appreciate the help. I will be tearing into it sometime next week probably. Once I get the cover and front of the basket off, assuming I will be able to see the ball and rod, how am I going to get it to break apart? Quote
vmaxup Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 Itr might come right off. or just tap the adjuster in the center. Its welded together but very brittle. just tap it it will come off. I was at a Yamaha dealer today and ordered everything you need and it came 28 bucks for the parts. Minus some yama bond to put the cases back together. I ordered them because everyone I ride with has a shee and were going to Glamis next week. Just in case put in the parts box for backup. Quote
FoxBansheeRacing Posted April 2, 2004 Author Report Posted April 2, 2004 Do you know of any places that sell the aftermarket kit that is supposed to keep it from happening again? I have found a couple sites but their links dont work... Quote
vmaxup Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 I think you will be fine with the stock stuff just run 2 quarts of oil. On the other bearing I know its like 45 bucks just for the bearing. Just remember you ran it out of oil. That was the real problem. Quote
FoxBansheeRacing Posted April 3, 2004 Author Report Posted April 3, 2004 I just want to be safe, the less I'm in my motor the better. I found a company that makes aftermarket components and I am just wondering what else I need besides this. Here is the link. I will still need the rod correct? Quote
vmaxup Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 I gave you a list. Did you open it up yet. Chicken? Quote
