Bensshee Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 My compression is 155 what octane gas should I run? Quote
sredish Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 93 pump gas yep, no more and no less. Quote
scotts96fast Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 If you would add +4 timing with the 155 PSI.Would that change the octane? Quote
Ducman Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 If you would add +4 timing with the 155 PSI.Would that change the octane? No, you putting race fuel in the tank would through! God damb I'm being such a smart ass right now. Maybe I better head back to the roosting room. Ans: Yeah, I'd say with +4 go to 1/2 race 1/2 pump to be safe, but I know I've heard a lot of people running 93 pump with 155psi and +4, too close for comfort for me though. Quote

Yeah, probably too close for me also with the advanced ignition. Quote
scotts96fast Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Ok I feel a little better now.I was thinking the same with the above comments.even thou I'm at 150 PSI, that gotta be on the edge. I know the power curve with +4 is pretty good. What about +2 timing at 150PSI?So far I could not find some old post from bancetta when he did his dyno runs. Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 155 without the timing advance is right on the edge. With the timing advance I would run half race and half pump. Quote
