03LE Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Sup guys, I am changing over to the Cycle Logic Engine Ice Coolant, (kind of a trial run) Directions say drain and flush radiator. Do I just need to: Drain Radiator, add water, start shee, let it run a few minutes, drain it and repeat till it seems to be clean (only water draining out) then let it sit for awhile to dry out (It says make sure system doesn't have water in it.) Then add the new coolant? Do qauds need to be burped? After adding coolant, start quad, remove cap "burp" to remove any air? Thanks, in advance for any info and help Quote
SICK BOY Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 That sounds like how I would do it. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 yea they need to be burped, sounds just like i would do it Quote
00BANSHEE Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 There are bolts on the side of each cylinder about mid way up that you remove after you drain the coolant. While they are removed you can flush the radiator with a garden hose until clear water comes out the 2 holes. Then you know all the old antifreeze has been flushed out. Quote
03LE Posted March 15, 2004 Author Report Posted March 15, 2004 Cool, Thanks for the info guys, it seems to work well. I ran it around for a couple of hot laps and even took it down the street and back and it didn't get to hot. I leave for the dunes on Thursday and that will be the real test for it. I'll post my results Quote
theeechozen1 Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 run some CLR through it to get any kind of build up outta there, I run alot of water in my bike instead of strait coolant so I do this often Quote
