MotulMonsta Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Who else has had ignition issues in their Banshee? I've got no light wires nor a voltage regulator..removed them all. No key it's tied in directly to the tether switch and I have all new electrical parts minus a cdi, stator and flywheel. The stator is a rebuild. I've also removed every aspect of the torrs system. It seems after I ride sometimes it will not spark. It doesn't happen all the time only once and a while. I've had a few DNF's because of it..then as mysteriously as it appears, it disapears...usualy after the race is over. Maybe my Shee gets performance anxiety? Quote
sredish Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Sounds like with all the connecting and disconnecting, you may have not got some wires tight. First place i'd check is the tether and the connections around that. sounds to me like you have something loose. Just a thought, Good luck. Quote
MotulMonsta Posted February 26, 2004 Author Report Posted February 26, 2004 I bought a brand new wiring harness...went over the electrical diagramns of the quad and removed all the lighting wires..then I csealed the harness back up and installed it. I think the cdi is bad. I got a new one coming. It's the onlything I haven't replaced due to the cost. It's and 87 cdi..so it's old. plus I beat on it and it seems to work. Quote
