Hey folks, I'm actually not a Banshee owner (although I wish I was). I'm a member of a college Mini Baja SAE team. We build a small one seater car that races off road. So naturally, we end up using a lot of ATV componentry - brakes, wheels, shocks. And what I'm here about is the shocks.

What is the diameter (outside of springs) and length of the front shocks on a Banshee? I think length is somewhat adjustable, so just a ballpark figure or a range would be fine. I want to use these shocks on the SAE car, but I am afraid they might be too big. Also, if anyone knows of a good source to buy some cheaply, let me know.

Thanks Very Much,

Peter

on stock front banshee shocks the spring is aprox 2.5in diameter+14.5in to centers of mount points with no load on them.they are not ride hight adjustable, but they do have 4 preload settings.check out ebay, shocks off the newer sport quads are generally about 2 in longer+much better all around.

Damn... that's the length I need but they need to be 2 in diameter or less to not interfere with the suspension. Do you know of any aftermarket suppliers I could look at?
