I am trying to get everything ready to put the shee back together. I had new pistons and rings put in it may. the motor only has about 30 hours of ride time on it. Should i rering it before i reassemble it. The juggs have a fresh port on them that havent been ran yet.

Just measure the ring gap. That's the easiest way to tell. If you have a full season on them, I'd change them. But, you may not need them. You can also measure the ring and see if one side is more worn than the other. If they don't show any ware at all, just hone the cylinders and you should be good to go. I don't know the tolerances, but I'm sure the person who ported your cylinders should know.

were would be a good place to buy new rings? What do they usally cost? I called some of the locals and i am hearing $28-$30 bucks. I called K&T Performance and the said $24 bucks a set. I that a good deal? There for a set of 20 over wisco pistons.

While I am sure that there are those out there who would not agree, I feel that any time you can see your rings, you should replace them. $50 buck is cheap insurance as far as I am conserned. You have a fresh port job, so I am pretty sure that the cylinders need to be honed. As those rings have seated once, I would never try to get them to do it again. Change them.

I tried to get wiesco rings only and have a hard time finding them on line.

Rockymountain and dennis kirk only sell kits with pistons. So I called wiesco and you can buy them direct to your door. They also sold me Cometic gasket set.

It was here in 2 days no problem. :D
