i race a highly modified yamaha banshee and about 2 weeks ago i bought a twist throttle kit from vitos and got the tors removal.i followed the instructions and everything just like it said but now it is running really really fat even when i leaned it out my pre mix is 104 octane race gas with 50/1 motul oil.it also will like go on its own no when you let off the gas.i idled it down and now it still does that.so did i just totally fuc* up my quad by puttin that kit on there or what?thanks alot

I'd start with grabbing yourself a beer & if ya smoke...have one of them too. ;)

 

Then I'd start with double check everything, did you follow the instructions provided?(not being sarcastic--just trying to help out) Check & see if the choke tube connecting both carbs is in place. I've not installed one of those kits myself--nor have I heard of people having problems with the kit, so keep an eye on this thread & you're bound to get more helpful responses. ;)

Sounds like your slides are in the wrong carbs....Look in the intake. Can you see the cutaway of the slides facing the air box??

It is a simple solution. Both things mentioned here are things I would check. The choke tube not being in place, (which is a 1/4" I.D. rubber tube that connects the carbs together) would cause the right side (PTO) cylinder to run extremely lean. The plug would look white in color. The slides not being in the correct carb would cause erratic engine behaviour, and generally poor running. The only other thing I can think of is an air leak somewhere like if one of the idle screws came out.
