Sheeboy12 Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 As many of you know i stripped my shee to the frame and now it's "back together" . Shee runs, not really well, it smokes ALOT, I mean bellowing white smoke, thats from old gas(I hope) . My Main problem is that it wont go any where . I put her in first and let go of the clutch and it's a no go. The clutch is in GREAT condition cuz it worked fine before, now the rpm just drops a lil bit and goes no where????!!!! oh and the idle jumpes around on me too, when i giver her some gas it takes a bit for the rpm's to drop. I really want to make it to the track before Saturday!!!!! Quote
bignasty1 Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 it sounds like you need to clean out your carbs and check for air leaks, what are you mods? elevation, jetting.... do you still have the tors hooked up and the parking break?you need to change out that gas and put fresh in and change the plugs. it also sounds like you got coolant coming in from some where it it were me personally i would pull the head and put a fresh gasket on and retorq it in the proper order and go from there. also do a compression check. and have fun once you get ur bike up and going CORRECTLY. i love it when bike runs good.l8ter Quote
flea49 Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 About the clutch sounds like your pressure plate is not turned to the right possition,there is arrows you must line up,and if your rpms are not dropping fast enough your throttle cable is most likely got a twist in it,just my 2 cents worth.
