spoin39 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Do a plug check after you ride it, you should probably be a little higher but if plug doesn't look too lean then you should be OK. Quote
BenBB Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I agree with spoin39, you could do a plug chop and find out for sure on the mains, or jet the mains larger until it bogs at WOT and drop a size. Depending on your elevation, I'd probably start with 30 pilots, needles one clip position leaner than stock (2nd clip position from the blunt end), and 330 mains. Should be a safe starting point (for sea level, 60-80 degrees F, and 32:1 premix ratio) and if it bogs at WOT drop a size on the mains until it revs out clean. If it's real cold you might start a size or two larger on the mains, if you're at a real high elevation maybe one size smaller. It might run good now, and the jetting could be fine where it is now, but you might be surprised to find more power with a little more work dialing in the jetting. If you haven't already you might check out the Jetting FAQ below. Good luck. Quote
