they do sell muffler kits like that but what about the CAT ? they can be very pricy if you cant use the old one. and muffler shops will not do anything in front of the CAT . so if you have a whelder or can find one to use, just buy new muff somewhere. then go to a muffler only shop(try and find an indepentet) and just buy the end (they have tubes bent to fit over the axle and out the side) with some straight pices to fill in the spaces. tell the guy what you are doing and he will sell you what you need and dont talk about the CAT. that will be the cheepest fix.

or wheld new muff's on the back of the headers and call it good ?

The CAT is the thing that looks like a muffler but it's a Catllitc convertor<spelling> an emishions device the law requires. I don't have Inspections so I can get away without the CAT. but you need to keep it. some people will remove the inside(gut it) and run it hollo so when they inspect it is there. thats what CAT back means, they cant tuch the CAT unless they are putting in a new one.

You can find a cheap catback system just about anywhere..Flowmaster is one of the best and best sounding..and getting rid of the cat will free up a couple of horses b/c it's probably almost stopped up by now anyways..just tell the muffler shop to cut it off and replace it with a free-flowing cat=straight pipe in place of the converter...smaller exhaust shops will do it w/o any trouble.

Cut the entire exhaust off. You don't even need manifolds on a Ford. You shouldn't notice any power loss, Ferds lack in power anyways..... Yes, it may be loud, but who cares? It's a Ford....

take it over to Wades muffler on Main St. inbetween Greenfield and Val Vista, he will hook you up..he re-piped one of my old Stangs a couple years ago using 2 chambered flowmasters and did an awsome job and it was like 2 hundo for the piping and labor, I brought in my own mufflers that I bought at Lopers on Country club in Mesa. there a hundo and some change for a set
