Help with loose clutch!!!

98banshe

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, first post here. I finally got my first banshee (1998) after waiting 20 years. I am currently tearing down and rebuilding the entire bike. The clutch perch and cable that came with it was very firm and sprung back quickly after being pulled. During the tear down I noticed the cable was very dirty and fraying in places so I decided to replace it. I purchased a pro motion cable and pro taper clutch perch. I got everything installed and the pull is now so light you could blow on it and it won't retract without me flicking it back forward. I can't seem to figure out how it could go from one extreme to the other. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks...
