87blueshee Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 Ive looked in Dirt Wheels and foudn a couple places that sell power pack kit and was wondering if anyone has got one before or knows anyplaces that have cheap kits or really good ones and what not. Im looking to get one. Thanks Any kind of pipe is fine i just wanan find the best palce to get it Thanks. Quote
boonman Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Any kind of pipe is fine Ummmm, no it's not. You need the right pipe for the application. For example, I wouldn't go MX'ing with CPI out of frame drag pipes. I wouldn't even do it with in frame pipes. Point is, you need a pipe that suits what type of riding you do? Which is......? Quote
flea49 Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 MY VOTE IS T5s OR FOR ALL AROUND RIDING OR RACING. Quote
Banchetta Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Check out Magic Racing. Agreed....they have great deals and never screwed me over the last 16 years.... Boony is right on....Pipe choice is crutial and most important mod to choose...Every pipe has its place. I'd never go back to a high rev pipe after running a midrange pipe w/ my type of riding....You should choose a pipe that suits your needs.....Toomeys would be my last choice for trails and sand pits.... 87blueshee Posted December 19, 2003 Author Report Posted December 19, 2003 I just do a lot of riding around my property its a lotta wide open and i have a track so ill prolly want a mid range pipe right? Let me know thanks! I was thinkin about the Gnarley or the Fatty Pipes let me know what you guys think Quote
ScreaminShee01 Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 fatty's all the way no. 1 all around pipe, IMO.... i just felt gains throught the entire powerband Quote
Banchetta Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 If you ride a great variety, then fatties are a great choice...I ride mostly 2-4th gear and would recommend Pt mids or fmf sst's...they work great for on/off throttle situations like woods riding and sand pits...If you rev more and have more open spaces, then I'd go w/ either Pt mids, fmf sst's, fmf fatties, dmc, or Bills..these are great all around pipes...for extreme open spaces like roads and desert, then go w/ toomeys, Pt highs, CPI, or Pc.... They should pull really hard off the bottom and rev out more than stock.... Quote
00BANSHEE Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 The first power package I bought from Magic was the one with the FMF Gnarlys. I thought those pipes were awesome for lowend. If I were to build an MX or woods bike I would go with them again. Quote
