Oilsmoke Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Jim if you raise the cyclinders with the base plate how do you deal with the pipe and frame clearnaces? I think the T5's would hit the frame hard, and IF one decks it with custom domes what is done to get the porting right? Quote
MULLET~BOY Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 hey i know you probably don't care what i have to say but i got to put my word in i had the spacer plate under the cylinders and it was a tottle pain in the ass first your gona have a hell of a time finding studs that will work properly and if you runn stock nuts you will probably lose one or two also its a pain to chage the plugs its jsut a tottle pain i'm switching to blaster pistions becouse i'm so fead up Quote
PassionRE Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Oilsmoke, the plates I run are either .063" or .080" thick. Subtract around .020" for the thickness of a normal base gasket and it puts the total raising of the jugs around .060" or so. Check and see if you have that much clearance to spare. Remember, no other base gaskets are used other than the plate itself..Jim Quote
