jabon Posted August 5, 2019 Report Share Posted August 5, 2019 Ok, need a little help, can this tab be soldered ? or epoxied ? Fresh rebuild, quad ran good for about 10 minutes really crisp, but soon after started running like a dog, checked everything came up to the stator, my friend that built it noticed the tab was loose, got another stator notice around the same tabs, they are tight not loose but looks like a little cracking, can i epoxy it to stop the cracking or solder it ? AKheathen Posted August 21, 2019 Report Share Posted August 21, 2019 thats nothing but the mounting pad, from what i can see. should not effect the electrical connection. its only purpose is to not let the circuit ground out. go over the mounting bolts and surfaces, then the other connections. pay special attention to the cable retainer on the back, as that is the engine ground. last resort, strip some of that green wire back and see if it is dark or discolored.
