Where Should I Mount My Temp Guage Senser?

I have a JT temp guage and i was wondering where i should mount the senser to give me the most accurate temp reading. Thanks

the small line coming off the head, its the water that has been exposed to the heat so thats were you wanna know whats crackalating.

I agree. While you are at it, you should mount O2 sensors in the exhaust to properly jet that critter.

The coolant should actually be the hottest coming out of the front of the head but most people put the meat gauge sensor in the bypass hose on the top of the head. I'm sure it's just a matter of a few degrees at most.
