limitied03 Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 i was riding my shee the other day and its only a month old and i heard it making a clinging noise so i slowed down and stopped and the motor died and i went to kick it and the kick start woudlnt move at all and i cant think of what could have happened. Any ideas???? Quote
kenr74 Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Could be a bunch of things like a frozen piston or something internal blocking the gears. I had the same situation and it turned out that the nut on the clutch adjuster came off and jammed in the gears. I could hear it ticking and then when I stopped in wouldn't let me kick it over. All I ended up doing was standing it on it's side, taking the clutch cover off, putting the nut back on and then putting everything back together. Quote
limitied03 Posted December 9, 2003 Author Report Posted December 9, 2003 so when that happened to yours could you still move the gear shifter like put it in nuetral? Quote
kenr74 Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 I could move the shifter but it wouldn't kick over. The nut got jammed between the kick starter gear and the primary gear. There could be tons of possibilities though. Wait to hear from some of the experts before you start tearing things apart. Quote
limitied03 Posted December 9, 2003 Author Report Posted December 9, 2003 well i got warranty on it so i took it in and let them check it out im jus getting ideas on what it could be in case they try and f*** me and not warranty it Quote
akpopeye Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 i would guess the crank destructed.....causing damage in the top end....thats what happened to me..now i got the the thing completely spread across my basement in peices...... buy yea...it wouldnt kick over after it just stalled/died Quote
limitied03 Posted December 9, 2003 Author Report Posted December 9, 2003 See thats what im guessing happened, the crack jus went to shit but the noise jus didnt seem loud enough to be that...and i thought that the back tires would have locked up if the crack would have snapped, well maybe, maybe not.... limitied03 Posted December 9, 2003 Author Report Posted December 9, 2003 i mean CRANK not CRACK, haha dont know where my minds at........ Quote
josegarcia124 Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 the same thing happened to my friend on his new '04 shee. less than a month old and damn thing died and wouldnt kick over. ended up being the crank and pistons. still had warranty and got covered. they said it was a faulty piston. he was running regular pump gas instead of race gas on 170 psi!!! i think this was the main problem ( but didnt mentioned it to the dealership! ) jose~~ Quote
