Banshee lockup cover

So I have a slight leak on my bike coming from my clutch cover gasket. I have a big weekend ahead of me of riding and will just fill up as it gets low( drips probably 10 drops at the max when parked) I'm wondering if I can just look threw my lockup clutch cover and tell my tranny level threw that? Or do I need to look at my dipstick? I know where it should sit by looking at the lockup cover so will just fill up when it gets past that point. Sorry if that didn't make any sense I can try and clarify if need be.
