Canadianshee Posted February 22, 2017 Report Posted February 22, 2017 Getting the itch, snow is melting fast. Is this stator look OEM to you guys?. I'm kind of leaning to its aftermarket but wanted to see what others thought. Every thing electrical was working fine when I started rebuild, I was able to pick up a new OEM CDI for crazy cheap local. I know that everyone has said OEM co and stators are the best to run. May get one when budget permits. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk Quote
Canadianshee Posted February 23, 2017 Author Report Posted February 23, 2017 Not oem, Ricky styleThanks for confirming ZillaFreak. Has any aftermarket company made an good reliable replacement cdi. Priced one at Yamaha stealer and was shocked at what they are asking. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk Quote
Canadianshee Posted February 23, 2017 Author Report Posted February 23, 2017 I was thinking that just by looking at the gauge of the wire windings. What is the reliability and longevity of these units. I've read mixed reviews thus far. I did get a oem cdi from a local dealer who was clearing out old inventory so was happy there. Will have to finish build and look at a new stator at some points. Quote
Canadianshee Posted March 20, 2017 Author Report Posted March 20, 2017 Thanks for the info. I am on the hunt for a new one now. Hate the thought of a no start in the middle of no where on some goat trail. Quote
