Dragg-on Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 has anyone broke a finger off thier clutch basket? can it be used, if not, does anyone have a banshee clutch basket to sell me, preffer aftermarket. Quote
BitchenBanshee Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 if a finger is gone, the basket is gone. Go find a Hinson or the Vitos basket for 150! Quote
gumby Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 and so this dosent happen again a buddy of mine made a "special tool" for it. what u do is take a steel from the clutch pack weld 2 bolts to it then look around and find something strong enough to weld on as a handle. then it slips on and u can tighten loosen or what ever u need to do with it. fixitrod Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 I heard of someone using one before. I wouldn't though. It gonna be way off balance and just cause trouble. I did the same thing. Ended up finding a new hinson on ebay for 120 with the cushions. Quote
boonman Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Yep. Time for a new basket. With an ear gone, balance is out the window, and others will soon follow in the breaking process. I don't know about you, but the idea of grenaded parts flying about in the tranny just doesn't excite me.,.. Quote
ator Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 I had the stock basket grenade, big mess to clean up but the trans ended up being ok. Quote
