B22 Posted April 9, 2016 Report Posted April 9, 2016 Hi guys, first time I've taken these carbs apart to thoroughly clean and inspect them and I'm a little confused. I believe there are supposed to be 2 floats, however I only have one inside one of the two. Is this normal or what? Ignore the shit inside it, that's why it's apart. sheerider11 Posted April 9, 2016 Report Posted April 9, 2016 It's a drag thing. More room for fuel, less weight, maybe yours is missing. But regardless, ive seen ddrag guys do it. Quote
B22 Posted April 9, 2016 Author Report Posted April 9, 2016 Ok I'll check the other one and see if they're both like that. It caught me off guard, just wanted to ask you all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
B22 Posted April 9, 2016 Author Report Posted April 9, 2016 So I'm not familiar but which side would it go on? It seems to be offset. It fits snug on one side and loosely on the other Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
B22 Posted April 9, 2016 Author Report Posted April 9, 2016 When I say snug I mean in relation to the gold piece (not sure on the name) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
wayne_smith97 Posted April 9, 2016 Report Posted April 9, 2016 When I say snug I mean in relation to the gold piece (not sure on the name) It should be relatively loose against the float tang thing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

m671054 Posted April 9, 2016 Report Posted April 9, 2016 Make sure they dont hang up on the bowls. Usually there are clearance issue with billet bowls. Also the float pin goes furthest away from needle valve when running a pump. Those look like alky needle and seat 3.3 is for a pump. Quote
J-Madd Posted April 9, 2016 Report Posted April 9, 2016 I would get the other float in there, especially if those are pumpers. Quote
