Shamrock Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 First off, I replaced my CDI because while mine was in storage somebody took mine off and put it on their banshee. When I got a new one it ran great for maybe about a week and then it started to have a lot of problems starting and it finally got to the point where it would not spark. I took it to a mechanic shop and he replaced a bad CDI for me for the 2nd time. I took it home and it fired up 2nd kick and as soon as I took the choke off it died and it acted like it did before I took it to the mechanic. Is there any reason my banshee is killing these CDI's? It's getting annoying to throw about 200 dollars for nothing. Thanks for your time! Quote
Shamrock Posted March 30, 2016 Author Report Posted March 30, 2016 You think so? It's just weird that there would be no spark at all until he changed it. Ive checked all of the other electrical components too. You got any ideas? Quote
Shamrock Posted March 30, 2016 Author Report Posted March 30, 2016 I just tested the ohms on the stator and coil and I've had 2 different guys check all the componets Quote
sheerider11 Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 Ohm the harness from front to back from cdi to coil. When you do it, wiggle the harness around. Quote
Shamrock Posted March 30, 2016 Author Report Posted March 30, 2016 Alright I will try this tomorrow. Thanks for helping. Quote
