  1. Okay, I found his add on here. Thanks for the fast replies guys!
  2. Well I've had 3 different brands including a stock Yamaha. They just swapped the CDI out for one they he in stock and it runs. The wiring harness is what I thought was the problem but it seems fine to me and my dad. Maybe I should just get a new harness instead of 300-400 for a new CDI.
  3. I have had my banshee for maybe 6 months and when I got it, some parts were parted out. I had to rebuild the engine, and buy new coil and CDI. The first time I started it, it ran great for maybe a month and then it just got really boggy and died and wouldn't start. I took it to a shop near me and they said the CDI was bad so I replaced it. It ran great for about 5 minutes and died and acted the same. The I took it back and this time they replaced the CDI again for free and it did the same thing. I told the shop this the next time I brought it in and told them to check for anything killing the CDI's and they guaranteed me everything was okay and I just got a couple of bad CDI's. So they replaced another CDI and the same thing happened. Could there be something killing these CDI's? Sorry for the long post and thanks for reading in advance.
  4. Alright I will try this tomorrow. Thanks for helping.
  5. I just tested the ohms on the stator and coil and I've had 2 different guys check all the componets
  6. You think so? It's just weird that there would be no spark at all until he changed it. Ive checked all of the other electrical components too. You got any ideas?
  7. First off, I replaced my CDI because while mine was in storage somebody took mine off and put it on their banshee. When I got a new one it ran great for maybe about a week and then it started to have a lot of problems starting and it finally got to the point where it would not spark. I took it to a mechanic shop and he replaced a bad CDI for me for the 2nd time. I took it home and it fired up 2nd kick and as soon as I took the choke off it died and it acted like it did before I took it to the mechanic. Is there any reason my banshee is killing these CDI's? It's getting annoying to throw about 200 dollars for nothing. Thanks for your time!
  8. I just bought a brand new ignition coil for my banshee and the spark plug wire somehow touched my pipe and burned through. I was wondering if I could just replace the spark plug wire or if I had to replace the whole ignition cool. Thanks
  9. Alright, I'll see if I can still a set of carbs off of my brother first but thanks for the fast answer
  10. I have a 1993 banshee and My uncle gave me it after it had been sitting in a storage unit for years. Well my brother stripped a few parts off of it for his banshee including the CDI, a carb, and some other electrical stuff. I was wondering which CDI to get. Would this be good? http://www.dbelectrical.com/p-12545-cdi-module-yamaha-atv-banshee-350-yfz350-1987-1994-monocurve.aspx?CAWELAID=130000240000002683&CAGPSPN=pla&gclid=CJKl0JbVscoCFYVAaQoda6MAlg Also what carb size? It has toomey pipes and I'm not sure if it was ported or not. Thanks
