mtsnieg Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 Went for a couple practice sessions yesterday on the ice track. Pulled into the pits and a buddy asks what Im running for premix. I say Dominator, why. He says my exhausr smoke is light brownish. So I start up the she and sure enough its brownish exhaust smoke out of the silencers. So I rip my buds new KTM 250r for a couple laps, then drink a couple beers. Fire up the shee to load it up and exhaust smoke is normal. Tranny fluid is a little low, just a tad. Radiator is full, resovoir is on the low mark, it was halfway between full and low if I remember right, just installed an aftermarket radiator last week. Doing leakdown test now, holding 6# for the past 15 minutes. Quote

sheerider11 Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 Coolant burns white. Oil white/ blue. Go to auto zone or similar and you can rent a coolant system tester. Just screw on cap and pump. See if pressure drops Quote

People never think to check that, id start there as you were advised.This. I've never gotten a bike that someone has mentioned changing it. I've had cores rattle from being completely gone. But never a bike that has had freshly packed silencers. Quote
