dnhyoung Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 I currently have Toomey T-5's that have a black finish on them and are pretty rusty on the necks. They were on the bike when I purchased it, and I want to upgrade. I am unsure whether I should use Toomey's upgrade policy and go with the new TR-6's or have my current T-5's chromed. I was quoted a price of $275 to have my old pipes chromed plus they will be gone for a month to allow for them to be soaked/ cleaned and then chromed vs. #375.00 for the new TR-6's. ya I know there is $100 difference, but what I am more curious if there any difference in performance??? Any info would be greatly appreciated..... Quote
Brian G Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Dont waste the money. The TR6's are a good pipe, but they do not work well with engine mods. If you want to step to a pipe go with CPI's or Pro Circuits. both of them work really well with engine mods. Quote
