Calipers are nice for a reference. If you want a true measurement you need a micrometer.

This ^^^^ you can get calipers to read + or - .005 even with good ones.

Yeah I looked into wiseco website and they are 64.50..those calipers are what I had at the moment and I didn't want to buy something more espensive if I was only going to use once..but I'm interested in the micrometer I have never seen or heard of that one..

Thanks for all you guys for your advice..I ordered the top end rebuild kit from wiseco with the 65mm piston for long rod crank...can't wait to put it back together and do some riding again

I wouldn't buy them if you don't need them they cost $$$$
