Super Cub Motor Project

Recommended Posts

I had this super cub 472 motor project up for sale a while back and decided at the time that I needed to keep it as a backup motor.  Well things change, I had a pretty severe accident on my asphalt drag banshee back on the 2nd week of April. I am finally out of rehab, I broke 7 ribs, my back and collapsed a lung. I have decided that with age comes a cage. I am going to give up  ATV dragging and build a car when I can finally get out of my full body brace. I have a set of cylinders with porting work done, it looks like it is mostly exhaust work that has been done, a set of cases cut for the 72mm bores, head with domes, TZ roller bearing, 4 mil Hot rods welded crank, pistons with wrist pins and bearings. I have everything for the engine portion of the build, I have all the hardware, case bolts, super cub stud extenders etc. Transmission is all that is needed to complete this motor project. I would like to sell complete, parting it out at this point will make for more trouble and risk of having my son pack and ship the wrong things to the wrong people. I am unable to do any of the work to ship, it will be up to him. If it all stays in one box like it is now it will all get to the right place. I need to get $1300 out of the whole thing. I can email pics, I am having trouble getting them small enough to post.

I crashed in the street in front of my own house. I was wearing safety gear, but when I thrown I landed on the top edge of the curb which is what did most of the damage. I was working on clutch spring weight for initial engagement. Our drag season was starting the next week.
