jetting issues help

i have a banshee that i just rebuilt .020 over fmf sst pipes, v force 3 reeds hot rods crank but i need to know where my jetting needs to be i am currently running 200 and it iddles good but when i pin it it runs like shit i live in new mexico and i am at 5,000 above sea level

With that same set up , but at sea level i ran 320 mains , 30 pilots 1 1/2 turn af

260 main 25-27.5 pilot at that elev depending on intake set up might need 240s

yeh 5k above is pretty high ! 260main is for sea level with stock airbox and lid on.

do you have  pods, full airbox or box with no lid ?

 

as sleeper said you could be around 240s with airbox.

 

 

just for interests sake's, what does a stock banshee jet at, up there ?

Thanks guys no airbox two filters and I just looked at the spark plugs and they are black when they run them stock over here they are any 200 g

dam 200 ! thought theyed jet them closer to  170-180 at that altitude.

 

yeh around 260-270 with pods.

 

but  saying the plugs are black would mean rich.  

 

get some new plugs and richer jets.

they are jet black and not wet at all but im just gonna try some new plugs and i guess just start at 300 and work my way down do you think i should advance my timing to +3

Top end is all main jet but the needle plays a role in it as well.

Leave the needle in the middle clip.

If anything, you might put the clip in the 2nd groove.

That will lower the needle and lean out the mid range and top end a little.
