Can I install a key on/off switch?

I've got a 99 and was wondering if I could install a key? They sell replacement Key switches on Amazon For about $10. Just curious to see how difficult it would be.

You should take a look at your harness and see if you have the plug for it. You may have got lucky and had some one jump it. If you do just plug in and go. Most will just rip it out, twist wires and call it good.

if you're doing it for theft reasons don't waste  your time.  a key only keeps honest thieves from taking it.  takes 2 seconds to cut and tie the  wires together.
