Glorfindel Posted April 9, 2015 Report Posted April 9, 2015 Hello, just got my digatron ( 2 egt, water temp, rpm) I said i' ve got a banshee so i got the 'lighting wire' connection. There is the part where i'm confuse. They say to tap it on the lightning wire BEFORE the regulator. So when i check to the electrical drawing, the regulator look the be wired in parallel not in serie, so i do.t get where is the before or after regulator.... Here is a pic with dots, where do i connect? Quote
SOUTHTHIRTY Posted April 9, 2015 Report Posted April 9, 2015 Is,n your digatron battery powered? Quote
Glorfindel Posted April 9, 2015 Author Report Posted April 9, 2015 No, it's kind of a capacitor that take about 10 min to be fully charged and that give the unit about 10 min of autonomy when the engine is not running. Quote
camatv Posted April 9, 2015 Report Posted April 9, 2015 try it just on the yellow regulated wire.i think its yellow? as it comes out of the stator right after the plug in works thats how it picks up RPM as the one i had with no battery i used with no regulator i didnt have any lights. also if your going to try and use a converter to download with to USB they dont work for shit. i ended up having to find a really old laptop with the i/o port and it works just fine. Glorfindel Posted April 9, 2015 Author Report Posted April 9, 2015 I've just read that the unit is 9v to 400v ac/dc... So i will stop to be afraid to burn something, plug it and go from there! ;-) Quote
Glorfindel Posted April 10, 2015 Author Report Posted April 10, 2015 Job done! Took the yellow wire (who became red/yellow) from the magneto. Quote
