I realize it is probably a dumb question but when my wheel hubs are tight their is very slight (as in less the a 1/16) daylight between the wheel hub and the key( side to side not up and down) Would I be OK to run it that way when I have it locked down or would I be better off getting new hubs..-thanks in advanced and please hold the ignorant comments...

Call and talk to Jeff @ JJ and A. If it is for sure a JJ and A axle he will help out. Do you have the original hubs? Or is it a full Fireball axle? If you have a JJ and A setup and they matching hubs are loose, he would probably warranty that. You will have slight play however due to the system utilizing the hub setup with pinch bolts. The hubs have to be able to slide over the 40mm shaft while the pinch bolts are loose.
