Water Pump Problems!

Hey .

 

Any one know how to change a water pump on a banshee. Ive taken the plastic cover off on the side of the crank case . i see the shaft of the old pump. but how do i get it out..

 

 

any help would be appreciated.

Open up the front half of the side cover above the shaft. The impeller lies there along with its seal that I suggest you replace also.

I have taken the plastic side cover off.. the fins are gone and its just a shaft.. i cannot pull the shaft out its stuck...im not sure what you mean by the front half of the cover.. its all one piece..... more help please

You have to take the whole clutch cover over. There is a pin on the back side that you will have to take of the shaft. First you pop off the plactic gear and then you'll see the pin. To change the seal, you have to pop the bearing out after the impellar is out.

When u change the seal be careful putting the new one in. Use a socket to tap it in make sure not to use something that will puncture the seal ..
