I havent kept up so i honestly dont know.  Seriously just put a cheap water temp gauge that you can glance at once in a while and get yourself a handheld GPS with a mount.  You can use the GPS for other things besides the bike and actually get some use out of it. You will never use the tach even if it works i promise you.

Ok yeah I wouldn't really care about the tach. I don't really care about water temp too it was just a neat feature IMO. They do have those GPS speedometers that people use in their Traxxas RC cars...

Lol I don't have an iPhone or a bar bad. Maybe I could custom make a bracket for my phone and just download a speed app for that.

Alright one last thing I wanna ask is how did you have the electrical set up? The internal battery, 9V, stator?

I used the batteries, then hooked it to the stator

And did it start acting up after hooking it up to the stator?

Hmmmm. I looked into it more and people were saying when they ran it on 9V it was fine and then the stator was supplying way too much electricity

Also I can't remember who said this but he wired his up to run 2 9V packs in series running 18V and the backlight was brighter than stator (which should be obvious. 12V vs 18V)

The back light worked fine on the stator

I don't think the stator messed with the tach

 

With the speedo the sensor that came with it was fucked so they sent out a replacement which worked but will sometimes read while I'm parked and will drop out while rolling just had no success with it

Have re fitted it and checked everything numerous times with no success

Never mind man sorry for being an asshole. From what it sounds like the Vapor doesn't work worth a shit, however the Vector kits works with no problems. The only thing the Vapor kit has versus the Vector is there is no Tachometer and yeah you aren't really going to see it. Also the Vector from what I've read will track your distance, 0-60 time, and fuel eco so I'm better off paying $10 more tfor those options I will like.
