Ok guys I'm looking for some advice and ideas from some of you guys that have run banshees for years. I've got an 04 that has a miss on the LH cylinder, I just rebuilt carbs, and has a fresh bore and hone with wiseco pistons done by alba. Shee had a miss when I bought the quad, got a "good deal" at the time so I thought! Was hoping a little TLC would get it back in shape but hasn't yet. The RH cylinder seems to be running fine. I have swapped plugs, plug wires, carbs, reeds, reed cages, and intake boots from one side to the other with no changes. Sprayed a little carb cleaner all around the intake boots and reeds thinking I might have an air leak causing the misfire but no luck! Looking to see if anyone has any other ideas for me?

Thanks!

Do you have all the Tors and E brake stuff unhooked on the bike? Is the left side totally dead or is it a random miss?

Using the proper puller, not a 2/3 jaw, remove flywheel. Clean all rust from stator poles. Clean inside of flywheel. Clean timing nubs on outside of flywheel. Set pick-up gap at .018, check at both nubs.

This is what I did to eliminate one sided miss.

Ok I'm looking for more suggestions guys, pulled the flywheel and cleaned the inside of flywheel, outer timing nubs with emery cloth and set gap. There was quite a bit of rust and even a little water that was inside the cover. I got everything cleaned up pretty well, fired it up and no change still an almost dead miss on the LH cylinder. It has a little pop every few seconds like it is trying to hit and run right but never will. Tried a new set of plugs after noticing the pop. Still no luck, is there a possibility a crank seal is causing this problem? That seems to be the only factor that is left in my opinion but I am looking for a little guidance still! Thanks in advance guys!
