Uni pods?

Has anybody used these UNI pods? They aren't k&n syle, looks more like a foam style, you can see them in the link below. I ride sand dunes and was thinking about ditching the airbox and going with pods. I came across these and wanted some input as they are cheaper than k&n and want see if they were worth Trying or not. Thanks

Had UNI pods. Wasn't a fan. The foam clogged so fast it was un real.

K&N knock offs are garbage. I have a set on the women's bike and they need to be cleaned and oiled 2x as much as my genuine K&N.

They still let dust through that mine don't.

Even with an outerwear they clogged? I would think they would be alright with an outerwear

Like he said, if you want pods, get actual K&N it will be $70 well spent. I also have genuine K&N pods on my bike.

Having said that I Still think the UNI's would be fine, sand is so coarse it should be the least of worry when talking about filtration. A two stage uni and outerwear should be just fine

Why ask for input if you already had your mind made up? Everyone told you k&n and you still want the uni foam filters? And you don't put outerwears on foam filters...at least I've never seen it done.

I have no problem spending the money on K&N, and I agree they make a great filter, is it the best? debatable, do you pay for the name? for the most part yes but all in all its going to do the job. I just couldnt help myself in giving my two cents on thinking a uni would do a good job in the sand as well, and for half the price, anyway ill most likey get the K&N's as they seem to have proven themesleves.

Just cut an ole pair of women's stockings and rubber band them over the bells of the carb. Sand is so Coarse should be fine. Prolly coast ya $3.

Seriously though there is a reason everyone runs K&N. you get what you pay for and I have always ran K&N on my Mustangs, trucks, Quads etc. Never liked any foam filters.

K&N isn't just a name.

Go buy the knock off K&N. Then you can come asking why your cylinders look like the pistons were made of rocks.

There has been literally hundreds of test to discredit K&N. No one can. They have tested AEM,UNI,K&N, and a few others. K&N had the best filtration and flow hands down.
